Analyze Your Travel Schedule and Activities
Traveling requires a lot of time commitment. If you’re flying you have to be at the airport at certain times to guarantee you won’t miss your flight. If you’re driving then if you’re like me, you create a schedule around the busiest traffic times and areas to lessen your chances of getting caught in major traffic jams. It definitely disrupts your daily schedule in many ways.
Having an idea of what you’re doing and how active you’re going to be will help you know if you even need to carve out some fitness time. When Derek and I visited DC a few years ago I wasn’t worried about fitting in a workout to my schedule. I knew it wasn’t needed with all the walking we would be doing during our time there. Research Your Accommodations

We’re less active on those days and keeping somewhat active on a cruise is a must for us. We always overindulge on a cruise. We can’t help ourselves with all the delicious food and cocktails to try.
You might also look into seeing if there are fitness classes available near where you’re staying. Most resorts and cruise lines offer an assortment of classes like yoga, Pilates, and cycling.

I hope you like my tips on How to Stay Fit While Traveling. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you aren’t able to fit in those workouts. At the end of the day, all that matters is that you’re making the most of your time while experiencing a new destination.
