My list of Ten Summertime Dates i a great way to spend a little quality time with your spouse during the hot and hazy summer season.
I love dating my husband. Whether it’s date night, day dates, or just a quick visit to the ice cream shop, those moments of quality time are so important. I’m sure you and anyone else with a spouse/significant other can agree.
I like to find dates that work with each season. It makes them unique and special. I was thinking about some of my favorite dates for this time of year and thought I would share some of them with you. Here are Ten Summertime Dates to share with your special someone.
This is definitely my favorite date during the summertime. I have loved going to baseball games ever since I was a kid. It was the best part of summer. It still is. Derek and I love cheering our Durham Bulls to victory!
Derek and I love us some putt-putt! We can get a little competitive but it’s always a good time. I especially love the big fancy courses that you see in places like Orlando.
This is budget-friendly, relaxing, and romantic. Pack a picnic basket of snacks and wine and enjoy some quiet, non-tech time with your spouse!
Farmer’s Market and Dinner
I love going to the farmer’s market any time of year. The summertime produce, however, is what makes it special. Fresh corn, tomatoes, and peaches are some of my favorite selections. I love to shop for items to make a special dinner later that night.
It’s nice to get input from my husband on what he would like to go into that meal. It makes him more involved in the process and we both enjoy that.
Live Music and Cocktails
Craft breweries, wineries, and distilleries have popped up all over the place in recent years. We love visiting them during our travels. There are also quite a few near where we live and some great bars, too. We love going across the street to our favorite craft beer bar to try some of the new beers on tap. It’s even better on the weekends when they have live music!
I love taking day
The weather doesn’t always cooperate in the summer. Sometimes it’s raining and sometimes it’s so hot outside that you can’t bear the heat! On those days, check out a local museum. We have quite a few here in the Triangle and a good portion of them are free!
Festivals can be so fun in the summertime. It’s a great way to celebrate your local community and to get out and enjoy yourselves!
Beach / Lake Day
It wouldn’t be summer without a trip to the beach or the lake! We’re very lucky where we live. The beach is an easy day trip for us. If we don’t want to make the drive then we have a
No matter which option fits you, go all out and make a day of it! Pack a picnic lunch or grab your grilling gear. Bring your beach chairs, swimsuits, sunscreen, and just have a great time!
Always one of my favorite dates no matter what time of year, pick a favorite destination or maybe a new one you want to explore. Just make the arrangements and go make some memories!
I hope this list of Ten Summertime Dates gave you some inspiration for a few dates to make with your spouse! In the end, though, all that matters is that you’re fitting that quality time in and enjoying your time with each other!
