Don’t let the holidays pass you by without some special moments with your favorite guy! Here are Twelve Dates to Make Your Holiday Season Brighter.
The holiday season is such an incredible time of the year. It can also be stressful and a bit chaotic. That is why it is so important to make sure to schedule some quality time with your special someone. In case you were looking for any ideas I created this list of Twelve Dates to Make Your Holiday Season Brighter!

Look for this Year’s Christmas Tree Together
I love it when Derek and I take the time to pick out our Christmas tree together. If you have extra time, try and fit in a meal at your favorite restaurant, it makes the activity even more enjoyable going out to breakfast or dinner before searching for the perfect Frasier fir!

Shop for Holiday Decorations and Lights
It never seems to fail but we always end up needing at least Christmas lights or replacement bulbs! While we’re in that section of Target it never hurts to keep our eyes peeled for some special decorations.
Decorate Your Christmas Tree
We usually wait a couple of days before decorating our tree so the branches have a chance to fall. It also lets curious kitties get used to having a tree in the house again. This year will be interesting since it’s Potter’s first Christmas with us.
I like to put on some Christmas music or a favorite Christmas movie and pour a couple of glasses of egg nog and amaretto. We often buy ornaments when we travel that represent the destination. It’s always nice to reminisce together over those travel memories while decorating the tree.

Check Out Your Neighborhood’s Christmas Lights
Fill a couple of to-go cups with some hot chocolate and drive around the neighborhood looking for houses decorated for the holiday season. Enjoy your neighbor’s hard work and the beauty of the lights!
Bake and Decorate Christmas Cookies
Making Christmas cookies is always so much fun this holiday season. It’s even better when you’ve got someone in the kitchen helping you!

Sponsor a Child for Christmas Angel Tree and Shop for the Presents Together
Find a local Christmas Angel Tree and grab a child in need’s wish list! It’s a lot of fun taking the time to shop for their Christmas presents together and a great way to give back to the local community.
Watch Your Favorite Christmas Movies
Put on some cozy jammies, light the fire, and pop some popcorn! Settle in with some Christmas movies that you both love. We enjoy classics like Home Alone, A Christmas Story, and Polar Express.

Attend a Christmas Concert, Play, or the Nutcracker Ballet
There are many Christmas productions you can go out and see together! You don’t have to spend a lot of money either! Many local schools, colleges, and churches put on Christmas performances that you can enjoy for little to no money at all. It’s another way that you can go and support the local community.
Go for a Wintry Walk or Snowy Stroll
Enjoy the beauty of the season on foot. If you’re lucky enough to get snow during the holiday season, go and enjoy the outdoors after it’s been freshly blanketed with snow!

Spend Some Quiet Time Together Listening to Christmas Music, Enjoying Your Christmas Tree, and Lighting a Fire in the Fireplace
In the middle of the holiday chaos, it’s nice to get some quiet cuddle time. Light the fire, turn your Christmas lights on, turn the rest of the lights off, and quietly play some of your favorite Christmas music. Enjoy spending some time with each other and the best of the holidays. Maybe even include your favorite holiday cocktail or hot cocoa, too.
Watch Some of Your Favorite TV Shows’ Holiday Episodes
I love watching old episodes of my favorite TV shows but I especially love holiday episodes! Friends, Eureka, Leverage, and Bones are a few that come to mind and many of them can be streamed over major streaming apps like Amazon Prime and Netflix. Order your favorite take out and enjoy a date night at home!
Get Out of Town
Whether it’s for a day or a whole weekend, it’s always nice to go and enjoy another area’s Christmas celebrations. Maybe you could head to the mountains for a snowy retreat or the coast and experience a holiday festival!

I hope these Twelve Dates to Make Your Holiday Season Brighter will give you a few ideas on how to enjoy the season even more with your special someone. You can even get started this Thanksgiving weekend!
