Preheat the oven to 350°.
In a large mixing bowl, toss the asparagus together with the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, freshly grated parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
Line a baking dish or roasting sheet pan with the asparagus stalks side by side in a single layer.
Roast for 20 to 25 minutes depending on the thickness of the asparagus stalks.
Remove from the oven and grate some more fresh parmesan over the asparagus, if desired, before serving.
