If the current quarantine has you feeling a little blah, check out these Five YouTube Channels to Help You Stay Fit at Home.
The events of the past few weeks have left me lost for words, at least written ones. Suddenly, travel is not an option nor is enjoying my favorite local haunts. It’s hard to plan for an uncertain future. This makes our current situation even more stressful.

One of the best ways to beat stress is to sweat it off. I know the gyms are closed and at the moment the pollen count is keeping so many of us from enjoying the outdoors. Of course, that has never stopped me from getting my daily workout. The past few years my daily dose of fitness has come from at-home workouts thanks to the widely available streaming options.
Those options just keep growing but many of them come at a price. I know that the majority of us are on tight budgets right now so the lower the cost, the better and free is best. Thank goodness for YouTube! Many certified fitness instructors have their own fitness channels or will do guest videos on others. I think we could all use a little physical fitness right now to work off those extra quarantine snacks and help us mentally and emotionally too. So to help get your budget-friendly fitness fix her are Five YouTube Channels to Help You Stay Fit at Home.
Blogilates
More than a decade ago certified fitness instructor, Cassey Ho started her YouTube channel, Blogilates. Since then she has accumulated millions of subscribers and launched a successful online brand. I found Cassey a few years ago when I was looking for some deep stretch workouts. She’s a really great instructor and has an incredible website to go with her YouTube Channel. If you’re looking for a planned out workout schedule then you should definitely check it out. You’ll find a monthly calendar with a list of her YouTube workouts to do each day.
Popsugar Fitness
This channel is a vast resource of online fitness classes. There is such a variety of workouts to choose from cardio dance and kickboxing to Pilates and yoga and everything in between. With so many options it’s quite easy to create a new fitness routine for yourself no matter what level you’re at.
Holly Dolke
I just recently discovered Holly Dolke’s channel. She has a nice variety of workouts to choose from and I particularly like her 1000 Steps in 7 Minutes Workout. It makes for a nice warm-up especially on those days when I’m feeling a bit sluggish. It definitely gets the blood pumping. Holly currently has a 30 Day Quarantine challenge going. You can easily pick it up from the beginning. Just find it on her channel’s playlist tab.
Kristin McGee
Kristin McGee is one of my favorite fitness gurus. I’ve been following her for over a decade and own a few of her fitness videos. She recently joined the Peloton family and is truly a yoga and Pilates superstar. She hasn’t been active on her YouTube channel for a couple of years now but it’s still worth a look and I’ll tell you why. It’s a great introduction to her and her classes but it’s also great if you’re a Pilates/yoga beginner. She has some great videos on specific poses and how to do them correctly plus some wonderful yoga/Pilates sequences to try.
Tracy Campoli
When it comes to working out I guess you could say that Tracy is “my main squeeze”. I was first introduced to her by her YouTube channel. Not much later I joined her paid program Total Body Transformation. It has now been three years and I’m in it for life! She has an incredible YouTube library that she still contributes to on a weekly basis. She’s a certified fitness trainer, former ballet dancer, and Pilates instructor.
I love Tracy because she doesn’t believe in diets. She focuses on positivity. She empowers women to feel confident and look their best no matter their age. Let me tell you she’s living proof. She’s 45 years-old, just had her beautiful baby girl this past summer, and is already back in her bikinis.
Tracy’s motto is “There’s always something you can do” and let me tell you that I’ve really taken that to heart the past ten days. A couple of weeks ago I started experiencing some horrible back pain, worse than usual. It took me a few days to get back to my workouts and although I’m still in pain, I’m consistently getting my thirty minutes. I’m not doing any cardio or weight training at the moment. I am, however, focusing on stretching and light Pilates workouts. These workouts are helping to ease my back pain and get back to a consistent workout schedule which I have been struggling to do since coming back from vacation.
You can easily get a great workout by combining her YouTube workouts. Some of them are even edited versions of Total Body Transformation workouts. However, if you’re interested in her paid program she is offering a $20 monthly trial at the moment and it is only for a limited time. Now, this is not an ad, she does not offer an affiliate program. I truly love being a part of the Transformer family. So, if you are interested, right now is a great time to check it out.
If you’re hesitant I totally understand. That is why I’ve embedded this video from the program. It’s one of my favorite workouts and let me tell you why. Before I joined I couldn’t even get through it. I thought I was in decent shape because I worked out on the elliptical on a regular basis but I was wrong. Now it’s one of the easiest workouts in the program for me. I turn to it on my yucky days when I’m lacking motivation and need an extra boost.
As frustrating as this time of quarantine is at least there are ways for us to work off some of that frustration. I hope that these Five YouTube Channels to Help You Stay Fit at Home will inspire you to get yourself on a daily home workout routine. If you start now you’ll successfully create a healthy habit that can last long after this quarantine is over and that is something to be positive about!
